The brief
ArchiDiaries is an online architecture, interior and design magazine with the tagline "pages from theory and practice". It began in 2014 as a blog sharing design processes from academic studios at CEPT University, Ahmedabad, and has grown into a publication that bridges practice, academia and theory for architects, students and design enthusiasts around the world.
The challenge
ArchiDiaries publishes many kinds of content side by side: built projects, practice profiles, student theses, interviews, articles, competitions, events and jobs. The architecture website development brief was to bring all of it into one platform where each content type has its own structure, readers can find work by the details they care about, and the editorial team can publish new pieces every day without touching code. With a library that now runs to hundreds of pages of projects, the site also had to stay fast and image-led.
Our approach
We organised the site around four clear sections that mirror how the magazine thinks about architecture: Academics (academic projects, academic studios, On Pedagogy and grad shows), Praxis (projects, practices, compilations and project videos), Reflect (articles and interviews) and Call & Media (news, events, publications and competitions). Each content type got its own WordPress template and structured fields, so a project page always shows its practice, information and description in the same place.

The homepage leads with a featured project slider alongside Editor's Choice, article and compilation spotlights, followed by a feed of the latest projects, practices, academic work and interviews. Listing pages have filters so readers can narrow academic projects by discipline, type, level, year, institute and country, competitions by type and status, and jobs by country, city, job type and title. As with every Webyant build, SEO, accessibility and page speed were part of the brief from the first wireframe, not an afterthought.
